Last year, 2 billion and 260 million 105 thousand and 304 dollars have been earned from the exportation of hazelnut, which is one of the most important agricultural exportation products of Turkey.
In the written explanation made by the Association of Black Sea Hazelnut and Hazelnut Products Exporters it is stated that 344 thousand and 370 tons of hazelnut have been exported to 122 countries in 2021, and an income of 2 billion 260 million 105 thousand and 304 dollars has been earned against this.
In the explanation it is indicated that one more new record was broken by reaching to the highest level of history of Republic with an exportation of 344 thousand and 370 tons.
In the explanation, in which on-going 2021-2022 hazelnut exportation season was also addressed, the following was reported:
“In the period of September 1 – December 31, 2021 of 2021-22 exportation season, a hazelnut exportation of 981 million and 866 dollars has been carried out against 158 thousand and 465 tons. It is expected that this increasing trend in our exportation shall continue, unless hazelnut supply to the market is prevented and problems are encountered in the access of the exporter to hazelnut; and it is aimed to reach to a new record by exceeding 350 thousand tons by the end of 2021-22 season. We would like to thank to hazelnut industrialists and exporters, which have the most advanced processing facilities of the world and have a reputable name in world’s hazelnut markets thanks to their experiences based on generations, for their efforts in achieving these abovementioned records, and hereby we wish 2022 brings health, peace, and productiveness to all shareholders of the sector, primarily to our producers.”
